Xiaowei co-founded rui attorneys after private law practice in the United States and China. Her objective was to bring her extensive international and cross-border experience in business and estate law to a California based practice.

The primary focus of Xiaowei’s practice is the integration and coordination of international concerns with US domestic solutions. Xiaowei designs and tailors business and estate plans to provide proactive prescient solutions to address issues such as: domestic and foreign taxation of income producing structures; international families and child guardianship planning; domestic taxation estate/gift of non-resident alien US domestic assets. Among the tools of which Xiaowei is adept at constructing are family limited partnerships, irrevocable trusts, dynasty / directed trusts, and domestic interlocking LLCs/Corporations. Xiaowei is further familiar with the legal systems of China (PRC), Hong Kong (SAR), Singapore, and Taiwan and thus uses her language skills and extensive local contacts to create global solutions.

In her spare time, Xiaowei enjoys spending time with her son and traveling abroad. As a hobby, Xiaowei is an expert restaurant explorer having visited many Michelin-starred and San Pellegrino top 50 restaurants.
